About
Walking in Their Shoes is an interactive experience that explores how systems and environments shape the daily lives of communities in Philadelphia. This semester's theme focuses on mental health, with a special emphasis on its impact on children and their brain development.
Participants will work with a group to "build a brain" using creative materials while responding to experience cards that illustrate real-life challenges and influences on mental health. Following the activity, local community partners will share insights about the importance of mental health and the realities faced by the communities they serve.
The evening will also include a hands-on service project, making Mental Health Buddies for kids in local schools.
Hosted by RUIBAL and COV through The Center for Common Good, this event is open to all students. ACS approved.
